How is Net Energy Metering (NEM) addressed in SolarAPP+?
Net Energy Metering refers to a range of utility programs that allow customers to sell energy back to the grid. Most utilities require that the system be inspected by the local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) prior to interconnection. Systems complying with the electrical code may be interconnected to the utility under a separate interconnection agreement. SolarAPP+ does not consider utility interconnection applications at this time.
Some utilities may require an interconnection agreement prior to submitting for a permit. Check with the utility for special requirements before submitting through the software.
