Where can you install batteries and how many?

We limit batteries per code on aggregate ratings.Individual ESS units shall have a maximum rating of 20 kWh. The aggregaterating of the ESS shall not exceed: 1. 40 kWh within utility closets,basements, and storage or utility spaces. 2. 80 kWh in attached or detachedgarages and detached accessory structures. 3. 80 kWh on exterior walls. 4. 80kWh outdoors on the ground. Finally, ESS mounted outdoors on exterior wallscannot be located within 3 feet of windows or doors directly entering thedwelling unit. These requirements are also incorporated into our online training program for contractors andinspectors.
