How does SolarAPP+ address the potential for ESS to be subject to vehicle damage?

We require the contractor to include vehicle deterrents in the event that the ESS equipment is subject to vehicle damage. The 2024 Edition of the International Residential Code establishes a definition for "in the path of vehicle impact" in Section R329. This must be verified at time of inspection per the checklist and is included in our training program for both inspectors and contractors. Viable options for best practices can also be found in this section, including bollards, wheel barriers, and ither approved methods designed to resist a specified impact load.
