How are contractor licenses validated?

Currently SolarAPP+ users must provide their state contractor and local business license and/or other qualification requirements to obtain a permit. Licensees can be verified in one of two ways:

    1. SolarAPP+ collects the license information, status, and related expiration date and sends information on the installer trying to register to the jurisdiction. The AHJ can then verify that this installer is properly licensed. That installer would then be approved on SolarAPP+. 
    2. Alternatively, SolarAPP+ can handle this verification process based on the hard copy of license files received from the installer's submission into the onboarding forms. Regardless of approach, SolarAPP+ requires that the installer upload documentation to verify their licenses.
