What are the requirement differences between SolarAPP+ and the California Solar Guidebook adopted in previous years?

The requirements that are based on California’s Title 24 are no different in SolarAPP+ than in the Solar Permitting Guidebook.  The SolarAPP+, due to its dynamic nature, can even accept a wider array of equipment, interconnection options, and site conditions than the static calculations in the Guidebook would allow.

The California Solar Permitting Guidebook provides guidance based on California’s Title 24 codes where certain assumptions are made based on system and site parameters.  SolarAPP+ is based on the same code body and would approve the same systems that qualify under those expedited guidelines. Therefore, there is no contradiction between California law and SolarAPP+ compliance checks.
