How is the administrative fee collected and who collects it?

The administrative fee collected via SolarAPP+ is separate from other permit fees. The fee provides funding for the upgrading and maintaining the platform and allows SolarAPP+ to be offered to jurisdictions at no cost. The fee in no way impacts AHJ's bookkeeping or master fee schedule and is commensurate with what installers consider fair value for receiving an instant permit. The current fee structure is:
